So pretty much the only thing that’s been seen from me for a while is role-playing stuff. But trust me, I’ve been up to more than that. Namely, actual fiction writing.
I’ve been working on a Legion novel, based in the Pride-Craft universe, albeit that is moving really slowly. I also plan on visiting my old Divinations manuscript and editing it soon and, speaking of Pride-Craft, I’ve had a new story accepted!
My story, Death Sent, also set in the Pride-Craft universe, was accepted at Beneath Ceaseless Skies. Not sure when it’ll be out, but I’ll be sure to keep you all updated on that. I’m excited, this story has an interesting take on some aspects of death. And monkeys.
Also new, the wonderful Sarah McLeod has produced a logo for my site. I’m quite fond of it.

Only two things really:
- Pridecraft was released as a podcast in issue 94 of Beneath Ceaseless Skies.
- It was reviewed and recommended in Locus magazine. Which pretty much makes my day. Below is the little excerpt included on the Beneath Ceaseless Skies post, though there’s a slight bit more if you follow through the link. In summary – all the excitement from me.
”A strangely interesting scenario, well-imagined and well-written. Recommended“

Pridecraft came out at Beneath Ceaseless Skies yesterday, while I was bustling about and a little bit hurried to post about it. (Exciting further news in that front is that it shall be appearing in audio version in issue #94)
As for a couple of sins- mostly that’s connected to gaming. I’m starting a Vampire the Masquerade game next week. Certain potential plotlines, and the nature of games, and various news involving nuns – put the Catholic church on my mind.
Which brings me along quite neatly to the fact that after finishing the draft of my Foundling story, I’ve been doddering quite slowly to write anything else. Which has resulted in four pieces quarter or less complete. One set in the same world as Pridecraft, another an advance of character’s life from my Foundling story, a story set in a Kingdom at the Edge of the World and something that popped half formed into my head this morning: a future vision of the Catholic church in a world of space travel, ansibles and technology so advanced that science is synonymous with miracle.
Regardless, editing is progressing on Foundling and I’m determined to finish a draft for at least one of these floating about stories this weekend.

Here’s just a few short updates -It’s been a long month of writing daily updates, occasionally writing them (or typing them) in a little bit of a bunch. And as much as I enjoyed the last month, I’m glad it’s over! These last few days I’ve been caught up in the grips of writing a story based loosely on the mythos established in Peter Pan – along with my father who now has a presence on the web.
My story “Conjure Woman’s Deal” has been accepted for publication, and you’ll be able to find it March 14th over at Every Day Fiction.
My story “Pridecraft” is forthcoming from Beneath Ceaseless Skies and will be seen sometime this Spring.
