Train-ing up Ideas

So I ride the train for an hour and a half. Daily. As in twice daily. As in three hours of my life are spent going to and from New York City every single day.
Do the math. That’s fifteen hours a week. Sixty hours a month. Seven hundred and twenty hours in a year. Do you know what that works out to?
Exactly 30 days a year. One month. I spend one MONTH of my life a year on a train with this commute. « Read the rest of this entry »

There is something about cafes and cofeeshops innately connected to writers isn’t there?
They get us out of the house, provide caffeine and a place to sit. They even give us wireless and electricity to charge our laptops.
(Except for the ridiculous Starbucks in Penn Station, which have recently closed up all their outlets. On one hand, understandable. On the other, HEY I used those!)
I write with every spare moment I have, and I do my best to do so in Coffeshops. The bustling feeling make them a very productive place for me. Caes and trains. Hmm. You saw graveyards. Expect trains soon.
Where are your most productive places to write? What kind of environments do you like to write in?
